Wedding is not Neukölln

Exploring the wilderness

Last chance to catch N-POLYTOPE

As has been for the last few years the CTM festival made it’s presence felt in Wedding. Various concerts were held at Stadtbad Wedding as well as the sound and light installation N-POLYTOPE. Taking it’s inspiration from renowned 20th century composer Iannis Xenakis it is an impressive structure featuring many lights, speakers, lazers, and smoke machines all involved in some conversation that is ever evolving. Xenakis is known for his use of algorithms and complex maths in his compositions and there is no shortage of that here. In saying that while there was obviously a lot of research and technical development involved in producing this installation the whole experience still feels quite organic and alive, a very enjoyable experience.

If you wish to see the installation hurry, it finishes on Sunday the 23rd February and opens daily from 17:00 until 21:00.
